This is a drawing of a Mare and her Foal eating. With exquisite detail, and beautiful features, it makes a wonderful addition to any room. Would make an excellent gift to any horse lover.
This drawing was done with both colored pencil and watercolors. I started this drawing experimenting with color layers. The undertones are that of blue, grey and light purples. Lion was drawn with colored pencil and then background was added after with watercolor. I was trying to capture a dreamlike lion coming out of the mist so part of the cat is faded into the background. The colors are golden to red browns, grey whites with touches of blues. This piece was done for my fiancée, for the lion has many meanings to him throughout his life.
