PS3 as BD Player/Web Browser?
I was one of those unfortunate few that thought HD-DVD was going to win out...stupid me. Now that the high-def war is over (for now) I am thinking about investing in a BD player. From some reading on the AV forums a lot of folks seem to think that the PS3 has the best picture quality of any player at the moment, and in addition to that it is the only player available today that supports the new BD Profile 2.0. Anyway, I'm just curious to find out from the PS3 owners out there what you thought of the unit as a BD player.
I'm also curious to know how the web browser performs. My understanding is that it is quite limited, but the only things I'll likely do with the browser are to view YouTube videos and maybe check my web-based email. How is the PS3 in terms of supporting javascript/Ajax as well as Flash?
I'm not much of a gamer so I don't have any specific question on the PS3's gaming ability. However, if I do buy one of these I'll have to see what all the hoopla is about with GTA4 :-)
