Description

A hard hitting 1984 release from the masters of metal, Judas Priest. The album opens with the shredder "Freewheel Burning" and closes with "Heavy Duty/Defenders of the Faith". The release continues with the fine guitar work K.K. Downing and Glenn Tipton with the usual over the top vocals of Rob (I'm gay) Halford. Speaking of Halford, are there any more gay lyrics then those found on "Love Bites"? Personally, I like this song and believe it to be the standout track on the album. It's cheesy for sure, but everyone should have some cheese now and then. How does this album compare with other Priest releases? Well, we are beginning to see the decline in the quality of the material that will be seen in the later releases of the 80's. Didn't I hear "Heavy Duty" on the Spinal Tap recording. For those new to Judas Priest, I would pick-up the earlier releases such as Stained Class, British Steel, etc. before adding this to my collection.
