Category Experts are not only experts of product items, they are also experts on how to use the Category Expert Workbench (CEW), the central tool available to all CEs. That is why we are launching a new certification program today; a certification that proudly displays your expertise in the CEW tool.
Getting certified is an easy, four-quiz process that can be taken at any time. You can take each quiz however many times you'd like but you'll need a minimum of 80% to pass. Your last test score will supersede the previous one.
Once you're a Category Expert (or if you are one already), you don't need to get certified right away. However, you do need to be certified to be elected at your one year anniversary. Certified Category Experts may need to re-certify if a major revision of the CEW is released.
Why be an ordinary CE, when you can be a Certified Category Expert. Go and become a CCE today!

Thanks to your great feedback, we've made the Category Expert workbench easier to use! Featuring a brand new interface, the new tool allows Category Experts to manage and build their categories in a much more intuitive and friendly way.
Easily see if anything needs to be done regarding any of your categories. "Pending Actions" tell you what your next step is. "Pending Items" instantly tell you of new Item Submissions.
New to workbench? Be guided step-by-step and create your new category with confidence.
No more guessing on where you are and what the next step is. The all-new interface is much more "human", so that you always know what you're doing and have access to every CE tool.
CE's can now fully modify and delete product attributes that are "inherited" from parent categories. This gives you more power and precision to determine the exact set of attributes that are applicable to your category.
We've been working hard for months and we're excited that it's ready for you to use.
