What do Category Experts do?

Category Experts must learn and use a special section of our website called the Category Expert Workbench to:

- develop the structure of a category (within 30 days)
- identify the defining characteristics of all the items within their category
- make sure that their category is easily readable, navigable, and searchable
- evaluate the accuracy of incoming and existing item detail submissions

What is my benefit?

For your contribution, you'll get paid 1% of the category's revenue (advertising and transaction fees).

How long do I remain a Category Expert?

Once you're approved as a Category Expert, you're appointed for a full year.

Can become the Category Expert after that year?

Certified Category Experts can campaign to be re-elected for another year. All Wigix members can vote.

Is there a limit to the number of categories in which I can become the Expert?

You can be a Category Expert in up to three categories.
