When you submit an item, you are entitled to 5% share of the advertising and transactional revenue that your item generates. We call these homesteads (Click here to find out how this works).
If you have a homestead and would like to sell it for cash; you may.
All of your homesteads are listed in the "Submitted Items" section, accessible through your MyWigix profile.
Any Item listed here can be sold to another Wigix member. Click on the item name to go to that item's catalog page.
As an item's homestead owner, a special section on this page in the lower right-hand side is earmarked for you to indicate that your homestead is for sale.
To list a price for your homestead, click on the link. You'll be met with an alert box, where you can state the price, and the duration of your listing.
Once you click on "OK", you'll be asked to double check your details and agree to the terms and conditions.
Once you commit to sell, the item's page stats will be updated. Any bids on your homestead will be listed here. To change your price or duration, click on the "edit" link.
Potential buyers might want to buy your homestead at a lower cost. All their bids will be listed here as well. Click "Sell" to accept any bid. (You do not have to select the highest bid.) Payment is completed through PayPal. Ownership will transfer once the PayPal transaction is completed.
There are no transaction fees when trading homesteads.
Conversely, you can buy homesteads. This will entitle you to a 5% share of all the advertising and transactional revenue the item generates.
To buy homesteads, look for the "Homestead for sale" badge on item catalog pages.
You can accept the original asking price. Simply click on "Click here to buy".
If you'd like to bid for the homestead at a lower price, you may by clicking on "Bid on this Page". Here, you will be met with a window where you may enter your bidding price and the duration you wish your bid to remain active.
You will need to review the details and agree to the terms and conditions.
Your bid will appear with others on the item's detail page.
You may edit your bid at any time, by clicking on the "Edit the bidding price" link.
If the homestead you are buying is owned by another Wigix member, ownership will transfer once payment (through PayPal) is completed.
If the homestead is owned by Wigix, Inc., ownership will transfer once you click on "commit to buy", and you will be billed the amount in your Wigix.com bill. (Bills under $1.50 will not be sent until additional debits are accrued.)
There are no transaction fees when trading homesteads.
Your new homestead will appear in the "Submitted Items" section, accessible through your MyWigix profile.
