  1. What is Wigix?

    1. Wigix is an online, social marketplace whose members can communicate with other traders before they buy and sell. Similar to stock trading, people set up buy and sell orders. These orders reside under a product page, and each page is organized under categories. Wigix also offers lower fees, making it much more affordable to buy and sell.
  2. Do I need a credit card to become a registered Wigix.com user? What types of payments does Wigix accept?

    1. No credit card is needed to register. You can pay via Paypal or Google Checkout.
  3. What is My Wigix (profile)?

    1. My Wigix is where you manage your personal information, contacts, items and communication. It is the starting point of every social activity within Wigix. A link to My Wigix is at the top of every Wigix.com page.
  4. Where can I view my messages?

    1. There is a link called "messages" (with the total number of messages) on the top of every page, next to your name. Click on the link (or the number) and you will be sent to a listing of your messages.
    2. You can also access this page by going to "My Wigix" and then clicking on "View messages" link on the left hand side.
  5. Will anyone see my e-mail address, physical address or personal account information?

    1. Wigix.com takes privacy very seriously. We will never publicly disclose your e-mail or your physical address without your permission.
    2. The physical shipping address of a buyer is disclosed only to the seller of an in-progress order.
    3. You can customize whether Wigix displays your full name or your username by going to "My Wigix" and clicking on "Edit profile on the left-hand side."
  6. Can I change any of my personal information, like my username, full name, e-mail address, and password?

    1. You can change your personal account information by going to "My Wigix" and clicking on "Edit profile on the left-hand side". Only the username is unchangeable.
  7. What should I do if I forget my password?

    1. If you cannot remember your password, you may use the "Forgot Your Password" link on the bottom of the login page, where you can enter your e-mail address and receive a new, temporary password. (Your password will be reset.) You will be prompted to enter a new password once you log in again.
  8. What is my Portfolio?

    1. Your portfolio is a list of items that you already own. You may add an item by viewing the item's details and clicking on "Add to Portfolio" on the left-hand side. You and your friends can view the full list in your My Wigix profile.
    2. Adding an item to your portfolio does NOT mark it as an item you are willing to sell. It will, however, show up in the list of owners.
  9. What are my Orders?

    1. Open Orders are items you are seeking to buy (buy orders) or sell (sell orders).
    2. In-Progress Orders are items that the buyer and seller have agreed to trade, but have yet to be shipped.
    3. Complete Orders are orders that have been paid and shipped.
    4. Expired and Cancelled Orders are those that have passed its expiration date or have been cancelled before completion.
  10. What is the difference between an Item Detail Page, a Sell Order and a Buy Order?

    1. Each unique product has a single page in the Wigix catalog called the Item Detail Page. This page shows all buy and sell orders for that product, as well as general descriptions of the product.
    2. When a seller wants to sell an item, an order, called a Sell Order, is opened. This sell order resides on the item detail page, and shows:
    3. - the asking price
      - when the order will close (expiration date)
      - the condition of the item
      - the owner-specified description of the item
    4. When a buyer wants to buy an item, an order, called a Buy Order, is opened. This buy order resides on the item detail page, and shows:
    5. - the price that the buyer is willing to pay
      - when the order will close (expiration date)
      - the condition in which they want the item
      - any other descriptions of the item they seek
  11. What is the difference between a completed order and an in-progress order?

    1. When the buyer and seller agree to trade, it is considered an in-progress order. Once the order is paid by the buyer and shipped by the seller, it is considered a completed order.
  12. What is my Watchlist?

    1. Your Watch List is a list of items that you are considering to buy. You may add any item by viewing the item's details and clicking on "Add to Watch List".
    2. Adding an item to your Watch List does NOT create a buy order.
  13. What is my Dream List?

    1. Your Dream List is a list of items in which you are interested but have no plans to buy in the near future. You may add an item by viewing the item's details and clicking on "Add to Dream List" on the left-hand side.
    2. Adding an item to your Dream List does NOT create a buy order.
  14. What is my Gift Registry?

    1. Your Gift Registry is a list of items publicly available to your friends. It indicates the items you'd like to receive as gifts.
    2. Adding an item to your Gift Registry does NOT create a buy order.
  15. What is a Category Expert?

    1. Category Experts preside over a leaf (lowest level) category and designate the appropriate descriptions. They also review and approve all item page submissions to their category. As a reward to their hard work, they earn 1% of transaction fees and ad revenue from all the pages within their category. Learn how you can become a category expert here.
  16. What is a Page Owner and Page Ownership?

    1. When a member submits a page to the catalog (and it gets approved by the category expert), they become the page owner. Page owners earn 5% of its transaction fees and ad revenue.
  17. How do I determine if a member is a good or bad seller? How do I determine if a member is a good or bad buyer?

    1. When trading on Wigix, please consider the members' "trust" and "feedback" ratings.

  18. I have a dispute with a buyer/seller. What can I do?

    1. Buyers and sellers should try to settle all disputes between themselves. Wigix will soon have a fee-based arbitration service for instances in which an agreement cannot be reached.
  19. How do I list an item for sale?

    1. Every unique product in Wigix has an "item detail page" with buy and sell buttons.
    2. The first step is to find the page of the item you want to sell. Do this by searching through the catalog using the orange buttons at the top of each page.
    3. Once you find your product, see if there are any open buy orders that match your product. Otherwise, click the "Sell" button to open a sell order.
  20. Does Wigix handle auctions?

    1. To provide for a safer, more fraud-free marketplace, Wigix does not conduct auctions. Instead, you can buy and sell on your own terms. You can set an asking price, or agree to one set by the buyer or seller.
  21. I want to get to a product in a category that is grayed-out. What do I do?

    1. A category that is grayed-out is an inactive category. The category could be in the process of being set-up or might not yet have a category expert to set it up. Learn how to become the category expert for an inactive category and earn 1% of transaction fees and ad revenue from all the pages within it.
  22. What can I do if I want to sell an item that doesn't yet have a page or category in the Wigix catalog?

    1. In order to list an item for sale, the product must have an Item Detail Page. That Item Detail Page must reside in a proper category. You can apply to be a category expert in a new category and earn 1% of transaction fees and ad revenue from all the pages within it. You can submit a new catalog page and earn 5% of its transaction fees and ad revenue.
